Victor Manuel Ponce was born in Los Angeles, California. He joined the U.S. Army in El Paso, Texas, August 1990. Was enlisted into the Army to train as an Patriot Missile Operator/Maintainer. From 2004 to 2015 he was assigned to the United States Amy Recruiting Command (USAREC) where he served as a Recruiter, Center Leader, Master Trainer, Battalion Operations Noncommissioned Officer, and a Company First Sergeant. Victor retired from the U.S. Army after 25 years of honorable service with the rank of First Sergeant and received his 2nd Meritorious Service Medal. During his military career, Victor led and mentored numerous Soldiers using his leadership skills and experience developing his subordinates.

Victor is married to his wife Patricia and has 3 children named Victor II, Jasmine, and Rudy.
